Kerotan Location Notes:
To acquire a true Kerotan rank, one must a)kill at least one person and
get caught at least once, or b)use special items like the EzGun,
Infinity Face Paint, or Stealth Camo.
Kerotan collections accumulate over a save file's lifetime. If you go
for them all and miss a couple, loading the save file and getting only
the ones you missed before will complete the collection.
If you save your file after you acquire the Kerotan rank, then play
through again on that file, your rank will be Kerotan regardless of the
final statistics.
These screenshots are based on the NTSC version of Snake Eater and are
intended to show real-game conditions for a Kerotan hunt. They were
shot on Very Easy from a New Game selection but the camo and and item
selections are valid from Very Easy through Normal.
The SVD sniper rifle is required for several frogs in Operation
Snake Eater and is the preferred weapon for some of the motorcycle
frogs. One can first acquire it in Ponizovje West after dealing
with the two guards that are in the area. If you skip the SVD, you can
use the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle that The End gives up after you
stamina-kill him.
